Pocket Rocket! Official

One of the prides of my collection: the 1950 Pocket Rocket! Official action vehicle, still in it's original packaging!  You can see the use of the EBC standardized logo, used on toys and collectibles, and even books, for many years, even after the radio series had ended. This is evidence of the company's attempt to standardize licensing, in hopes to expand the franchise beyond radio to film, television and merchandising. This piece is quite valuable, and I'm very lucky to still have custody of it after all the divorce nastiness.

Pocketeer! Approved!

The "Scanmogrifier" pocket appliqué, on it's original package card. As it says, this is one of a set of 17 appliqués meant to accompany the junior trench coat . Though it had been folded at one time, this specimen is in excellent condition.

The original voice of the Pocketeer!, the under appreciated  character actor Marty Gale.

Marty had been a staple at WWIZ for many years when the script for a new adventure serial fell in his lap. He was the voice of Charlie Cupfixer, Nudelman Noodle Man, and Major Klapp, so when the station needed their new hero, Marty was the natural choice.

This headshot was just one from a whole stack found in the estate sale treasure.
